What are the admission requirements to study in Netherlands?

Question Description
What does international students require to study in Netherlands? What are the general admission requirements for students to be eligible to study in Dutch universities and colleges? Please answer my question promptly.

The admission requirements to study in Netherlands vary according to college or university you choose. Iíll explain you only general requirements to study in Netherlands. Depending upon the university or college and program you choose; there may be other specific requirements too. For those specific requirements, I suggest you to contact the university or college admission department directly.

Here are the general requirements for studying in Dutch universities or colleges:

Proficiency in English Language
Youíll have to show your proficiency in English language to conduct your studies in English. American, British, Canadian, Australian students and even the students from New Zealand donít need to show their proficiency but students from other nationals like Indian, Chinese, Pakistani, Nepali, Bangladeshi, Nigeria, Portuguese etc will be asked to take TOEFL or IELTS test to prove qualification in English Language.

Completed and Signed Application form

Payment of non-refundable application fee
Students who apply for Admission should pay non-refundable fee which varies according to university. Some university even doesnít charge any application fee.

Previous transcripts
Students will have to submit transcripts of previous studies. These transcripts must be attested.

A copy of passport

Financial Proof
To conduct studies in Netherlands, students will have to submit financial documents proving to have sufficient funds to live and study in Netherlands. However, this is not necessary for American students.

Students who are neither from the any of the EU member nations nor from USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, Switzerland and Monaco may have to submit a completed immigration statement. Students not belonging to above mentioned countries and just admitted partially before obtaining a visa. Once they obtain a visa or resident permit for Netherlands, theyíll be granted full admission status.

These are all the general requirements for international students to study in Netherlands.
