MD Degree in Germany

I want to study in Germany for my MD Degree. I am 12th passed. I came to know that education is free in Germany. Can you put some light in this matter? Please suggest me some good universities too where I can study. Please reply me as soon as possible.
Studying medicine in Germany takes around six years. There are two phase of studies and you’ll be transferred into second phase only if you clear the first phase. You’ll be provided around 48 weeks of training in a clinic or a hospital.
Currently, for studying medicine in Germany, you’ll need to apply through Zentralstelle für die Vergabe von Studienplätzen (ZVS) because it is a central body that receives applications on behalf of every medical schools in Germany. You can get more information here: http://www.zvs.de/
The medical studies in Germany may not be free in all German medical schools. Most of the state owned schools provide free education for national and international students. No German school provides medical studies in English language; so to be accepted for admission you’ll need to learn German language.
