How can I apply for undergraduate studies in any of the universities in Sweden with ease for 2009 intake? Does Sweden offer free education for international undergraduate students? What are the documents required for international undergraduate students? As an undergraduate international student, how will the student get a visa to study in Sweden?
The process to apply for admission may be different depending upon a university you choose. However in most cases, you must apply through Studera.nu. Studera.nu receives applications on behalf of universities in Sweden and forwards application to respective universities once received. You can find more information about applying for admission in Swedish universities here:
Currently, education is free in Sweden but they are planning to charge fees after 2010 to students who do not belong to EU nations. For documents and other requirements, I suggest you to visit respective university website because it varies for different university. Some common requirements may be transcripts, proof of proficiency in Swedish or English, proof of medical insurance, and proof of sufficient funds.
For Swedish student visa, you must apply to nearest Swedish embassy or Consulate office. Visa requirements may also vary depending upon your region and consulate office you apply to. For process and requirements, you better contact the Swedish immigration office.
