Is it difficult to get into University of Wisconsin - Madison?

Currently I live in La Crosse but if possible I want to get admission at University of Wisconsin - Madison. Is getting admission at University of Wisconsin - Madison really difficult? What is the acceptance rate there? Please suggest me.

To get a place at University of Wisconsin – Madison is a real tough job. There are thousands of people from around the world who fight for a single seat. You must be very competitive with excellent performances in academic and non-academic activities. Your score at standardized tests must also be high. Above all, you must be special. You must have something different than others for which the university has to offer you an admission. The general types of students are not given an admission at highly reputed universities like UWM. I guess you have gone through the ranks of UWM. It is ranked with top 10 universities in most of the rankings. So, to be offered a place at such a highly ranked job is a real fortune. It isn’t easy to get there but you may still try. Who knows - you may be next lucky person.
