Question Description
What should my GRE and TOEFL or IELTS score be, if I want to get into any of the top universities for Masters in Electrical Engineering program? My academic percentage in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is 67.6, and Iím a 2010 pass out.
Answer

Most of the top ranked engineering schools do not set any minimum GRE score requirement. They base their decisions for any application depending on overall credentials of the student. However, it is quite obvious that students with higher GRE scores have higher chances for being accepted.

The recommended GRE score is: over 1200 in Quantitative and Verbal Sections combined, with minimum of 650 in the Quantitative part, and over 3.5 in Analytical Writing section.

In case of TOEFL, most top ranked universities ask for TOEFL scores above 90 for a Masterís program. Similarly, for IELTS, band score above 7.5 is widely accepted.
