Is HND in Ghana equivalent to Bachelor's Degree of America?
Asked by: proftimo Answers: 1 Asked 2 years and 5 months ago Question Description
I have an HND in Dispensing Technology in Ghana. Can I use it to apply for PGD in Nursing. I would like to use my GRE score to apply for a Postgraduate Degree in Nursing or Medicine. Also, I want to know about the schools that can be selected along with other necessary information.

I don't think Ghanaian Higher National Diploma is equivalent to American Bachelor's level degree. What is the duration of a HND program in Ghana? Because, it depends on years you spend studying too. But, I believe Ghanaian HND is equivalent to American associate degree, which is only equivalent to first two years of full-time university’s Bachelor’s degree. I think you should ask the institution you're planning to apply to. Ask them to verify if your qualification meets their academic requirements for admission into a Master's in Nursing Program. Rate it!
