I have done my 14 years education in Pakistan. I want to study further through scholarship in Australia. My English is not so good. I have scored 5.5 in IELTs. I am very good in my studies. Can I get scholarship at Australian Universities with such IELTS band?
Universities have different requirements that students must meet. For international students from non-English speaking countries, one requirement is added than to national students. That is proof of English language proficiency.
Scholarship opportunities in universities largely depend on the academic performances of the student in their previous levels. But to be eligible to get scholarship, first of all student must get admission in the university. Without satisfactory proof of English language proficiency, an Australian university merely admits international students.
In your case, you said that you are good in your studies but your English is not good. It means you can get scholarship in Australian universities if you get admission. But with your IELTS score of 5.5, it is very difficult to get admission in any Australian universities. Therefore, if you want to study in Australia with scholarship, practice for IELTS a lot, retake the IELTS, secure good score and apply to Australian universities.
