I got 1130 in GRE and 88 in TOEFL. I gave GRE on Dec 21. I have 70% in B. Tech and above 90% in 10th and 12th grades with no backlogs. I think itís too late now to apply for fall 2011, so Iím thinking to apply for 2012 instead. Is it advisable? Do I need to appear for GRE new patterns to apply for fall 2012? If I apply for 2012 in first round for universities like University of Minnesota - Twin Cities in E.C.E, can I get an I20?
There are lots of good universities which have application deadline for the fall 2011 as late as in March 2011. So, you can apply to such universities if you want, in 2011. However, if youíre looking for very highly reputed universities which have application deadlines in 2010 for the fall 2011, you better wait and prepare your documents properly, and then apply for fall 2012. But, just in case you have documents ready, I suggest you to apply for Fall 2011, because itís not a great idea to lose a year waiting for a suitable time to apply.
As for University of Minnesota Ė Twin Cities, the application deadline for Fall 2011 was on December 15, 2010, so theyíll not accept your application now. If you want to apply to this particular university for the Fall semester, then youíll have to apply for Fall 2012 within the year 2011, or you can also apply for the Spring semester of 2011. I hope Iím making sense. Good luck!
