Getting admission into a Masters program in UK with just 5.5 band score in IELTS is almost impossible. The minimum band score required by most of the British universities for Masters Program is 6.5. However, you can still be eligible for conditional admissions. In that case, you’ll have to join an ESL program when you are at the university. You better talk with the university you choose to make sure if they can offer you a conditional admission.

In case if you don’t get a conditional admission, you may first get admitted into a pre-masters program at any of the universities. After taking pre-masters course, your low IELTS score can be considered for admission into a masters program.
