How much does it cost for studies and living in Finland for international students?
Studying in Finland is free because universities in Finland are government financed and they don’t charge any fee even to international students. However, Finland is planning to introduce tuition fee for non-EU international students after 2010 – it is same year when Swedish universities will start charging fee to international students.
Even though university charges no fee, you’ll have to join a university student union and pay a student union fee. Besides, you’ll also have to pay for living. Cost for living varied depending upon place you choose to live and your standard of life. Living cost in Finland is considered expensive in compare to other European nations.
