The process to study abroad simply begins with planning. Planning is the most essential part for the whole study abroad process. Smart planning means the good study abroad preparation. Your planning may begin from choosing the destination, choosing right university and choosing the right course for you. You have to spend enough time selecting right country, university and subject that resemble your desires and needs.
Once you select the destination country, course and college, then you can move forward to the process of sending application to the university you have chosen. Generally, for the application process, you will require the mark sheets of previous level studies, character certificate, letter of recommendation, proof of proficiency in language, proof of availability of enough funds to support your study and living cost, etc. Once you complete your application procedure, you have to wait until your university responds you. Remember that your application is closely looked by the university officials and if they find you eligible to study the related course in their university, they will accept you as an international student. When they accept you, they will send you the letter of acceptance (I-20 from US universities).
After you receive your letter of acceptance, the next process is to obtain visa to enter into the country you have selected for your abroad study. To obtain visa, first you need to make a passport, then you have to apply for the visa filling up the visa application form in the Embassy of the related country. Many Embassies ask the international student to attend the interview to check whether the student have genuine reason to study abroad, whether student have sufficient fund available or not, whether student is capable to study in their country’s university or not. To support your interview, you may need to show documents like you transcripts of your previous level studies, character certificates, bank certificates and bank statement proving that you have sufficient fund to study abroad, insurance papers, recommendation letters, proof of language proficiency, etc and some cases criminal record certificate too. If the Embassy consular finds you to be genuine and eligible to study in their country, they will issue you a visa.
You are almost done with your study abroad process once you get visa. You can then make necessary travel arrangement booking the airline tickets, shopping, etc.
Finally, your study abroad process completes.
