Which is the best place in France to live and study?

Which is the best place in France for studying? The place must be good on all aspects. Please suggest the place in France which have healthy environment and society to study and live.

As much I know, students generally go to Paris which is the capital city of France. But many students also prefer Avignon, Lyon, and Montpellier. I don't think you'll have any problem with any of these cities. Rate it!
