Which are the most popular study abroad destinations?

Which countries abroad are popular as the study destination? How the popular study abroad destinations are determined? I have heard that USA, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, UAE, Italy, France, Germany, Japan, Netherland, Denmark, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Norway, Italy, Cyprus, China, Switzerland, Spain, etc are the most popular study abroad destination worldwide. Is it true? Which countries would be best for student from south asian region. Acutally I am from Nepal, and I am asking this question representing all south asian students from India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Maldieves, Afganistan and Nepal. I want my this question to be useful for all students from this region.

These countries are determined as the top and most popular study abroad destinations as per the number of international students studying in these countries. Each and every country have their own specialty. Each country’s academic institution differs to another teaching methodology, course duration, subject matter, etc. The best destination for International South Asian students are USA, Australia, Canada, UK, New Zealand etc.
