Question Description
My son is doing BE (CSE) third year. Would it be possible for him to do PG in “Petroleum Engineering”? And, is this course available in India? If he has to go abroad, which would be the best and cheap?

Doha, Qatar.
Answer

As engineering is a technical program, in most cases, shifting into another engineering program will not be possible from Computer Science and Engineering. But some universities may have different policies but I don’t have any knowledge on such universities.

Petroleum engineering program is available in India at some institutions which include:

Institute of Petroleum Technology
BR Ambedkar Technological University
Bharathisadan Institute of Engineering and Technology
