I have just passed 10+2 and trying to continue my education in business management from the reputed university in UK. As such I have just gave IELTS test. But unfortunately the overall band score on IELTS is 5.0. In Listening 5.0, in Writing 5.0, in Reading 4.5 and in Speaking 5.0. Will I still be able to get admitted in UK universities to continue my education on business management? Is there any method so that the UK Business Schools will accept me with low IELTS score? Should I again take IELTS test and score high? Taking test again would be difficult for me not just because my English is weak, but also the test charge or fee is so high. Can anybody help me solve my problem please?
Yes, of course there are many universities and colleges in UK that accepts and admits student with low IELTS band score. According to your course of study, many universities and colleges may consider your IELTS score that is not less than 0.5. You may need to request and persuade the college or university you are going to attend to admit you. You have to satisfy them that you will develop your English skills quickly and also do well in your intended subject matter. Upon considering you with low IELTS scores, you may be asked by your college or university to attend the extra English class once you join their school. That may cost you extra pounds but if money is not problem for you, you can develop your English skills very soon learning with natives.
However, it is advised that you have to get request the college or university only if you are not too weak in English and if you have confidence that you could do well once you get there. There are many fresh examples that many students are not doing well who got admitted after being considered with low English proficiency and low IELTS scores. These students have not gained wonderful experience and good time studying in UK.
It is better to work hard to develop you listening, reading, speaking, writing skills in your home country if you are not good in English. You may give retest again and check yourself whether you are really eligible to study abroad in English speaking country or not. This will save lots of your time, effort and money that may be required during your stay in UK.
