For IELTS test, you have to notify the test administrators 5 weeks prior to the test date to cancel or postpone your test. If you make a request when there is less than 5 weeks time, there is no way your test will be postponed or cancelled until you become able to show some medical evidences that you cannot take the test because you are not medically fit. But this request also has to be made 5 days prior to the test date. If you don’t make a request before 5 weeks for normal cause and before 5 days for medical cause there is no way your test date will be postponed or cancelled and you’ll not be refunded. You'll have to register for IELTS again paying full IELTS fee if you wish to retake the test.
