Question Description

Can I compare between CEFR levels and TOEFL iBT scores? I have scored 91 in TOEFL iBT. The university I am looking has stated minimum requirements of English language proficiency in terms of CEFR level. I do not know under which level my TOEFL iBT score falls. Can you provide me the chart to compare and convert TOEFL iBT scores to CEFR level?

CEFR Level A1 = TOEFL iBT 12-27
CEFR Level A2 = TOEFL iBT 30-31
CEFR Level B1 = TOEFL iBT 35-53
CEFR Level B2 = TOEFL iBT 61-80
CEFR Level C1 = TOEFL iBT 88-100
CEFR Level C2 = TOEFL iBT 105-120
