It depends on the business school you choose for your MBA. Most business schools and colleges do not publish specific admission criteria, including minimum required GMAT scores. MBA programs are offered by variety of schools with different accreditation and entrance requirements. The importance given to the GMAT score may be different depending on the business school you choose.
Some give very low importance to the GMAT while others give it a very high importance. GMAT score isn't the only thing that plays a vital role in selection process of the student. Most of the top business schools use factors like academic merit, GPA, class rank, letter of recommendations, extracurricular activities, work experience, and public services along with GMAT scores.
