Question Description
Can my brother show funds in his account to apply for Canadian student visa? After he applies, how long will it take to obtain a visa and be eligible to work here in Canada?
Answer

Yes, your brother can surely show fund available in his bank account. But remember, this fund must be sufficient to study and live in Canada for at least one academic year. There is no way hell be provided a visa if he fails to show enough funds. If he has enough money in bank, he must ask bank to issue a bank certificate which hell have to send along with other documents while applying for a visa.

It may take from a week to several months to obtain a Canadian student visa. The processing time for Canadian student visa depends upon the case of an applicant. When your brother is in Canada after he receives a visa, he must apply for a work-permit there to work as a student. Time to receive work permit may also vary from a week to several months.
