What are the documents required to apply for Chinese Student Visa?

Question Description
I am student from Mumbai, India. I am trying to study MBBS in Fudan University Shanghai, China. I am going to apply for Chinese student visa soon but I do not know which documents are required to present in Chinese Visa Office to obtain Chinese visa.
Answer

The documents required to obtain Chinese Student Visa are:

- Letter of Admission issued by the Chinese University

- Completely filled Student Visa Application Form (JW201 form or JW202 form) issued by the Ministry of Education, Government of China with one recently taken passport sized photograph

- Mark sheets of previous level studies

- Character Certificates issued by applicant's recently graduated school/college/university.

- Letter of Recommendation from the applicant's recently graduated school, university

- Statement of Purpose with reasons to study in Chinese educational institution and future plans

- Medical records issued by doctors from an Indian state hospital

- Bank Statements and Certificates along with other property documents showing availability of enough funds to study in Chinese University
