Question asked in Visa and Immigration
Should I say I have my mausi in USA who had sponsored me 3 years back?

3 years back my mausi was sponsoring me and she is staying in US but I was rejected at that time. I had applied for a visitor visa. Now I’ve applying for F1 visa. So, should I tell them I have my mausi there? Or, should I say I have family friends? Would it be fair enough?

Hello Ishika, you were sponsored by your Mausi 3 years back, but is she sponsoring you now? If no, it is better not to mention about her while applying for a visa now. The presence of relatives in USA will result in visa rejection for ties reason. The consular will suspect you may stay in USA after your studies so you’ll not be granted a visa.
