Question Description
Hello,

I want to know how many days does it take to obtain a visa after appealing for Ireland visit visa. I appealed for visit visa to attend my sisterís wedding and my ticket is for 3rd of august. One week has gone and still I havenít received my visa. What is the procedure to get my visit visa before my ticket date? Please help me. Can we contact someone in Embassy to make it fast? We have given good covering letter and itinerary too.

Thank You.
Answer

Hi fairy, According to Irish authorities, time to obtain visa after appealing is generally 1 to 2 weeks. But sometimes depending upon some factors like number of applications received - it may take as long as 3 to 4 weeks. There is no way to make this process faster and in India, there is no service to track the progress of your appeal too. As you said one week has passed since you appealed, there is no other option than waiting for following few weeks as well. Youíll be informed as soon as decision is made. However, if it takes too long, you may contact them to ask the reason for delay.

Keep patience, I hope your appeal will be processed before your ticket expires.
