I have completed BE successfully with 74% but I kept backlogs during my studies. Now I am planning to do MBA in USA. Will the consular refuse to give me F1 visa? If yes, what's the reason for this rejection?
You had backlogs during your studies so consular may doubt in your intentions to study. If you can convince the consular that you genuinely intend to study in USA, then youíll have higher possibility to obtain a visa. The consular may ask you about your backlogs so you must be well prepared for every possible question regarding this issue. Donít leave any other weak point while applying for visa. Show very strong financial documents and most importantly, show strong ties with your nation - financially and socially.

I'm sure you won't be refused if you tell the truth to the consular. Don't give lame answers like "Bad College" or "Bad Health". They'll count you negatively if you give such answers. Instead, I suggest you to be frank and tell the truth. Accept the fact and tell with courage that you were weak on those subjects and that's why you got failed. But donít forget to mention youíll work much harder when you are in US.
