I am accepted in US university but I have yet not applied for university accommodation. I will apply for accommodation after my visa. So if visa officer asks question to me why didn't you apply for accommodation, what answer should I give him?
You must get accommodation reservation documents before applying for visa. Consular will seek for proof of reservation of accommodation. If you apply for visa without accommodation arrangements, there is high possibility of getting rejected.
Most of the universities provide international students temporary accommodations. After you are in US you have to search for accommodation and shift to your permanent accommodation from your temporary accommodation. Ask your university about accommodations. I suggest you not to apply for visa without having a proper accommodation reservation document.
However, if you plan to apply for visa without reservation of accommodation, you may tell the consular you have enough time to reserve accommodation for you after obtaining a visa.
