Question Description
I am an Indian student. I have got admission for PhD at UCD Dublin, Ireland. I will receive acceptance letter very soon. I want to get information about documents required and procedure to obtain an Irish student visa. How many days will it take to get a visa? Also tell me whether I can take my spouse with me. What are the conditions for that?

Thanks.
Answer

Documents required for Irish student visa may vary depending upon your country and consulate office you’ll apply to. Here are some essential documents for Irish student visa:

Letter of acceptance
Original Transcripts of all academic qualifications
Valid passport
Proof of proficiency in English language (TOEFL or IELTS scorecard)
Proof of coverage of health insurance
Proof of sufficient funds
Completed visa application form

All these are general documents only. As additional documents may be required, you better contact the Irish high commission or consulate office at your region.

As you are from India, you can find all Irish government policies for students who wish to study in Ireland here: http://foreignaffairs.gov.ie/.
