Question Description
My brother is doing his MBA in the US. I have got an admission to another university in the same city as my brotherís university. The reason why I chose that university is because they do not require GRE or GMAT scores for admission. Now, as I am appearing for the F1 visa interview, should I tell consular the truth or can there be any other best answer for the questions related to this issue? Thanks.

The best suggestion I can give for F1 visa interview is to be honest.

The visa obtaining rate for honest students is far more than for those who try to fake their situations.

Just tell the consular officer why you chose that university. Explain him your situation. Most students complain that the Consular Officers do not even listen to their explanations once they make up their minds. I think you should be honest with them and tell them the actual reason why you chose a different university from your brotherís, while choosing the same city.

I think youíll be okay.
