Question asked in Visa and Immigration
Will I get rejected for F1 visa if I've applied to only one university?

I applied to only one university in Missouri and got an admission there. I have been scheduled for an F1 visa interview at the end of this month. If the consular officer asks me - why have I applied to only one university and why have you chosen this university, what should I answer?
I have also applied only to one university. I'm am confused what should I do. I hope your visa will not be rejected. All the best.
Someone please answer. Your answer will be highly appreciated.

There is nothing you should worry about, but make sure you have a strong reason for choosing this university. Having multiple I-20s displays your intent to study to the consular, but he/she will be even impressed if you show your pure intention of applying and admitting to this particular university.
Iím pretty sure that you wonít be asked any questions for having only one I-20. In case youíre asked, you can simply tell that you had made mind to join this university because you liked it a lot, and, as admission was almost guaranteed, you didnít want to waste your time preparing application documents for other universities.
Before appearing for an interview, make sure you have good reasons for why you have chosen this particular university.
I hope it helps!
